About the Artist
Above: Diane Received Best of Show - Professional Division
Click to read: Newspaper article Diane Pereira, a native Californian has loved to create since she was a child. A strong influence was her artistic mother who taught her a love and appreciation for art. Diane received her education in Southern California at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and after working for several graphic design studios in Los Angeles she opened her own. She has been a professional graphic artist for over 24 years and has always had a passion for designing logos, lettering and illustration. When she moved to central California she became interested in researching her family’s ancestry in Fresno. Her focus of corporate design art evolved into family/heartfelt art. Diane has always valued saving a piece of history from the past to share with the future, so when she mixed her hobby of genealogy with the love of art, the Family Tree Plates and Ancestry Tree Plates were created. Other plates have followed. Her heirloom quality plates are displayed in homes across the United States and abroad. When she is not designing keepsake plates she is developing other family keepsake products. “The plates that I design are based on what I would like to give or receive as a lasting gift. I maintain high standards for each plate knowing that my name is on each plate and that it will be treasured for years to come. When I hear about how happy someone is to have received one of my plates, it makes all of the time and work that goes into each one so worth while!”
